American Pieces…a series I spent most of 2013
creating this series which includes 102 small paintings. All of the paintings
are 8x10 inches and they share 12 similar background designs. My intent was
that when the paintings were displayed together, they would look like a
beautiful quilt. I painted in 3 categories…people, animals, and things…all
woven with America and American culture in mind. My quilt “American Pieces”
will be shown for the first time at Folk Fest in St. Petersburg, FL (downtown
on Central Ave.) November 2-3, 2013. All of the paintings range in price from
$30 to $45…depending on the time and effort put in to them. |
